Kristy is a real people person and loves connecting and chatting to people.
Her love of working with people drew her to a career in physiotherapy and she graduated from University of Hertfordshire in 2000 with a Physiotherapy degree.
Qualifying as a physiotherapist led to 15 years working in the NHS – five at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading in rotational post, and ten years in musculoskeletal outpatients in Worksop and Retford.
Kristy took a six-year career break to raise her two girls and relocated to Haslemere. She took the plunge to return to work after seeing our advert for a hydrotherapist. Kristy says: “I love the hydrotherapy pool and how it gives patients with limited mobility the chance to swim and float and enjoy a freedom that they cannot experience on land. I also like working with the water to treat joint replacements.”
Outside work, Kristy has a passion for musicals and theatre and previously played the clarinet. She is on the committee for the Friends of Holy Cross and helps fundraise for the hospital.
Kristy also has green fingers and every year she challenges herself to grow some vegetables. Raspberries were her most recent success with slug catching continuing to be her main challenge in the garden!
