Physiotherapists at The Physiotherapy Centre, Haslemere have been putting their colleagues through their paces as part of Workout at Work Day.
The annual awareness day is organised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. It aims to increase levels of physical activity and to inspire employees to address poor work habits, which may have been adopted.
Therapy Services Manager, Rasheed Meeran who organised the event says: “We held various activities that challenged staff member’s fitness and exercise tolerance. The outdoor circuit class and the gym ball class, which was held in our outpatient gym, were firm favourites. Days such as this are great for promoting the benefits of regular exercise and how it can help to improve public health and reduce sickness absence.”
Physiotherapy plays a key part in keeping people fit for work. Any local business interested in holding a Workout at Work Day should email Rasheed Meeran for further details.
