If you have visited us over the past few weeks you may have met our student physiotherapists.

Vanessa and Jessie are in the final year of their three-year degree course at Keele University and have just completed a six-week placement with us. 

Reflecting on her busy six weeks, Vanessa said: “Out placement has been very memorable. The staff at Holy Cross hospital have been extremely welcoming since our very first day.

“The team are equipped with the most incredible knowledge as well as being kind, caring approachable. They always treat the patients with the utmost respect and dignity.

“It has been a pleasure to see how efficiently a multi-disciplinary team approach can work and here it works like a clockwork.”

Jessie added: “Holy Cross provides a wide range of activities for the patients to give them a sense of well-being and social interaction, which here is considered equally as important as the medical management.

“We have had the chance to experience a snapshot of what each team member does and we have thoroughly enjoyed learning from the staff here.”

We were delighted to have Vanessa and Jessie spend time with us and we wish them all the best in their studies and careers.
